Agape

In the Bible, “agape” (ἀγάπη) is a Greek word that refers to unconditional, selfless love. It is often used to describe God’s love for humanity, as well as the love believers are to show towards one another. Unlike other Greek words for love, such as eros (romantic love) or philia (brotherly love), agape denotes a love that is sacrificial, unconditional, and based on the will rather than emotions.
